Find out the special meaning behind Princess Eugenie’s second wedding dress for her royal reception
When Princess Eugene was walking through the aisle at her royal wedding on Friday, October 12, we thought she would not be more amazing. However, that night, the 28-year-old royal family wore a second wedding dress at her reception, which surprised us!
On the second day after Eugenie married Jack Brooksbank, photos taken by newlyweds at their royal wedding reception were taken by Alex Bramhall and posted on the royal official Instagram account entitled “Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank at Royal The Lodge shoots, Windsor, before the private dinner on the wedding day.”
Although royals around the world love Eugenie’s Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos dresses, people seem to prefer her Zac Posen gown. “She looks very beautiful in this dress,” a photo of Eugenie, a family member who commented on the royal family, added the same to another person: “Now this is a dress!!!”
According to People, Eugenie’s gorgeous second dress looks like a blush of English roses and York White roses. This dress is made from pleated silk fabric – the image of the York White Rose is cleverly displayed on the shoulders and back, as a sweet nod to the Eugenie royal family.
Eugenie decided to put on her second wedding dress at the night reception, following the royal tradition, and the brides Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton did the same thing at the weddings in May 2018 and April 2011 respectively.
In May of this year, Megan – just announced that she was pregnant with her first child! – Change to Stella McCartney’s dress for her party. And, as early as 2011, Kate put on Sarah Burton’s dress for Alexander McQueen.
